ABOUT THIS PRODUCT
 
A soft, rich, seasonal cheese made from Cow's milk in Switzerland or France. Traditionally produced in the winter months when the cows come down from Alpage (mountain pastures) and there's not enough milk to make Comté or other larger mountain cheese

500g Vacherin Cheese
 
 
CHEFS NOTES
 
Serve at room temperature as part of a beautiful cheese board; or bake in the oven with sprigs of thyme and garlic squeezed into slits cut into the top.
 
HOW IT ARRIVES
 
The cheese arrives in its original wooden circular box.
 
HOW TO STORE
 
Keep vacherin wrapped in greaseproof paper inside a polythene bag, and store in the fridge - this way it should keep for about a week.
Before eating take the vacherin out of the fridge and allow to return to room temperature so that the flavours and aroma can develop. 
 
HOW TO HEAT 
 If desired, remove the plastic packaging and bake in its wooden box in a preheated oven at 200C for 8 - 10 mins.
