meet the potters


Georgia, Founder & CEO

I love food and the way it brings people together. The idea for potage came about in 2011 on a walk in Hyde Park with my brother when we stopped for a hot stew and chunk of bread. I spent all my evenings and weekends over the following year testing recipes, collecting packaging samples, thinking about logistics and slowly creating a business. To launch I sent an menu email to 15 friends and family and did a total of £101 sales in my first week. I then spent the first year doing all the cooking in my mum's kitchen and delivering on my bicycle.

Sophie, Operations & Marketing Manager

As a lover of all things edible, Sophie has always wanted to work in the food industry. After studying at Newcastle University she went on to do a ski season as a chalet cook in Meribel. Sophie is the most organised member of the team and manages the whole day to day operation. Her favourite part of the job is hearing wonderful feedback from our customers and she believes we'll soon be known for the "best brownies in London".

 

 

Denisa, Head Chef

Originally from Slovakia, Denisa moved to London just over 3 years ago. Denisa joined the team when Georgia was still cooking in her mum's kitchen. When she's not working she loves shopping, walking in parks with her dog Minnie and meeting friends. Denisa's favourite pot is the Fresh Salmon & Sesame Noodle Salad, she also loves pasta with homemade pesto.

Silvia, Deputy Kitchen Manager

Originally from Ecuador Silvia lives with her brother. She loves to shop on the infamous Oxford Street, seeing London from the river/boat cruises and taking photos of all the national landmarks. 

Bianca, Kitchen Assistant

 

Asia, Kitchen Assistant

The tidiest person in our team, Asia is originally from Poland but moved over here a year ago to be with her husband. Asia makes the best ice tea using fresh lemon, mint and a secret ingredient that none of us know.

Georgia Doherty, Recipe Development

Ever the early bird, there’s nothing Georgia loves more than baking bread before the sun comes up, picking flowers or wandering around the New Covent Garden Market for inspiration. On rare days off, she is happiest growing vegetables and edible flowers in her London garden. Georgia started to work with us developing recipes in 2016 just after we moved into our new kitchen in Battersea. She runs a bespoke catering company, The Hill Food Co. Georgia trained at Leith's School of Food and Wine and learnt floristry under the watchful eye of floral artist designer, Zita Elze. 

 

Al, Web Developer 

When Georgia met Al he had a full time job, was training for the London marathon and with a two month old son. Al is a total magician when it comes to tech and has over 18 years software development experience in a variety of fields including Web, Mobile, Desktop and video delivery. Al was one of the first people to join the team in 2013 and is responsible for all the development of our website and app.

Victoria, Illustrator 

Whilst doing a four year fine art degree at City and Guilds, Victoria spent a summer working with Georgia. At the time Georgia was totally on her own cooking at home and delivering on a bicycle so Victoria helped with everything from testing recipes to delivering. One afternoon she decided to do a few illustrations that today have become an integral part of our brand. Victoria has since started her own jewellery business Tada & Toy.
