Our Packaging

All our packaging is made from either plants or 100% recycled or recyclable plastic. The only piece of packaging in our range that's currently not 100% recyclable or compostable is the plastic film on our hot pots and we're working hard to find an alternative.

Our sustainability promise

Whatever we are doing, as a team we always work with the environment in mind.

1. Seasonal, responsibly sourced ingredients. Whenever possible we source ingredients locally. Our fruit and veg is delivered in reusable crates (never wrapped in plastic) and our meat is from an independent, family run butcher that source their meat from small, passionate British farmers, who use traditional, free-range farming methods and organic feed.

2. Minimal packaging and no single use plastic. All our packaging is made from either plants or 100% recycled or recyclable plastic. The only piece of packaging in our range that's currently not 100% recyclable or compostable is the plastic film on our hot pots and we're working hard to find an alternative.

3. Zero food waste. All our meals are made to order so we have virtually zero waste and whatever is left we sit down and enjoy for lunch as a team.

What to do with your packaging

Individual pot & small sharing box
Rinse any food residue from bowl and lid and place in your recycling bin.
The brown pot is made of paperboard and comes with a PET lid.
Medium & large sharing box
Remove any food residue and place in your composting bin. Made from sustainably sourced paperboard with plant-based PLA.
Bagasse tray & lid
Remove any food residue from the base and lid and place in your composting bin. Bagasse is a byproduct of making sugar, when sugarcane stalks are harvested, they are pressed to extract their juices. Which then gets processed into sugar. This leaves behind a dry fibrous substance. Using a high heat and pressure process this material is then moulded into various containers and tableware such as bowls and plates.
Tamper evident pot & lid

Rinse and place in your recycling bin.
Hot food tray & slip
Rinse the tray and place in your recycling bin. The only piece of packaging in our range that's currently not 100% recyclable or compostable is the plastic film on our hot pots and we're working hard to find an alternative. The slips can be recycled.
Cutlery & Napkins
Cutlery: Remove any food residue and place in your composting bin. Made from RCPLA, recycled plant-based PLA. Napkins: Place in your composting bin. Made from recycled fibres, these napkins are unbleached.
