Christmas lights, handmade decorations, artisan gifts and steaming mugs of mulled wine: we round up the best Christmas markets London has to offer this winter.

Swedish Christmas Market

A traditional Swedish Christmas market held in a church in Edgware Road, this event is always brimming with people so make sure to get there early. You'll find all sorts of delicious Swedish eats and a huge range of handmade crafts for sale from glassware to textiles and beyond. All whilst enjoying some classic gingerbread biscuits, homemade glögg, hot dogs and ärtsoppa. There's also a pop-up café in the Church hall with homemade cakes & sandwiches. Entrance fee £2, children under 12 years free.

Festive Sessions at Paper Mill Studios 


Islington's, Paper Mill Studios are hosting a festive market of brilliant makers along with workshops and a supper club with Anna Jones. The brilliant Hill Food Co will be running the all day café with breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and snacks throughout the day in collaboration with Anna Jones. Wild by Tart Christmas Fair 

The newly opened 9,000 sq ft 'Wild by Tart' restaurant will be transforming into a Christmas fair for the weekend. Enjoy festive food and drinks alongside  Christmas market stalls, gifts, fashion, food and music. There will also be gingerbread decorating classes and wreath workshops.

Evening of cheese at Borough Market

An opportunity to meet the makers and craft the perfect Christmas cheeseboard. If there’s one thing Borough Market isn’t short of, it’s places to buy cheese. In what’s become an annual tradition, the Market’s cheesemongers will be offering you the chance to meet the makers and glean their expert guidance on crafting the perfect cheeseboard—just in time for Christmas.

Pear Tree Cafe Christmas Fair

Not officially a Christmas Fair but one of our favourite park cafes is hosting the biggest gathering of dogs and people in Christmas jumpers the world has ever seen to raise money for Save The Children! A photo will be taken to break the world record for a second time at 12pm. The cafe will be open and serving delicious seasonal food and drinks, alongside hay bale racing, a tombola and the Chelsea Pensioners singing carols.
