We thought it was time for us to start sharing our thoughts, ideas, recipes, photos and inspirations with the world and what better way to show you all what we’re up to than a blog. POTAGE closed for August and we all took the time to travel, rest and research. I flew to Seattle and drove 2570 miles south to Los Angeles over 16 days. I can't tell you how much I saw but a few of the highlights included an afternoon with Cristina Hudson at her beautiful ranch
in Napa, a night in a wooden cabin on Mt Tamalpais at the West Point Inn
, a show at the Planetarium
in San Francisco, Glacier Point and the Tuolumne Meadows in Yosemite and an early morning visit to the hot springs at Esalen
on Big Sur.
I'm now back home with a huge file of notes and recipes that I can't wait to develop with Clara, get onto the menu and share with you. We reopen on Wednesday 3rd September and are really excited to get back into the kitchen and start delivering hot autumn soups, stews and hearty salads.
